WHO WE ARE

CARVER TRAILS

We are a non-profit group of Chaska and Chanhassen residents that are comprised of parents and coaches of local mountain bike teams. With the tremendous growth of mountain biking in our state, our local teams have exploded in size, but do not yet have local trails to practice on. Our goal is to obtain an approved mountain bike trail, that minimizes the risk of interaction with vehicles and gives us a safe place to teach riding habits and skills to mountain bikers.

Currently, the community of mountain bikers ride throughout the cities of Chaska and Carver, on paved trails or gravel roads, which do not represent safe mountain bike trail conditions for our youth and adults. Because of the lack of trails, the local mountain bike teams travel throughout the metro area to find single track trails.

We would like to build local, public, multi-use trails on a natural surface (dirt). The trail construction would meet the criteria of beginning to intermediate mountain bike and multi-use trail specifications and would follow the IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association) guidelines to emphasize safety and sustainability.
